Concert of winners of the 50th Fryderyk Chopin Polish National Piano Competition

The Fryderyk Chopin Polish National Piano Competition is one of the oldest national music competitions in which the most talented young Polish pianists take part. Past winners include the world-famous pianists: Janusz Olejniczak, Krystian Zimerman and Rafał Blechacz.

The competition programme includes only works of Fryderyk Chopin; the first two stages are solo recitals. In the final, the pianists will perform a selected piano concerto with the accompaniment of the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marek Pijarowski.

The jury for the 50th competition will include outstanding pianists and teachers: Janusz Olejniczak, Piotr Paleczny, Ewa Pobłocka, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń (Chairwoman), Marta Sosińska, Wojciech Świtała, Waldemar Wojtal and Paweł Zawadzki.
