THE CHOPIN CONCERTS
58th SEASON OF CHOPIN CONCERTS AT THE ROYAL ŁAZIENKI STARTS ON 14th MAY
For more than 50 years, Chopin Concerts have been held at the foot of the Fryderyk Chopin Monument in Łazienki Royal Park. Eminent pianists perform every Sunday from mid-May until the end of September. Hugely popular with Warsaw residents and tourists alike, they are a unique opportunity to listen to classical music while sitting on a blanket in the shade of a tree.
On Sunday, May 14th, the inauguration of the 58th Chopin Concerts will take place in Łazienki Royal Park. Two concerts featuring prominent pianists will be held by Chopin’s monument. Chopin Concerts in Łazienki Park are an integral part of summer seazon in Warsaw. Concerts beat their popularity record in 2010, when the whole world celebrated Chopin’s Year due to 200th birthday of the composer.
Playing in such an extraordinary landscape is a privilege and prestige. Park is always crowded by listeners seated around the monument. Come along and feel this amazing atmosphere!
The summer recitals by the Chopin Monument will take place each Sunday at 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. The inauguration concert at noon will be played by Lukas Geniušas.
